What is a team captain?
Team captains are the amazing people who choose to start a Healthcare Workers vs Hunger team. They are responsible for publicizing their team, communicating with team members, and encouraging people to donate on behalf of their team. Anyone can become a team captain by creating a team at the above link, and has the chance to accept the coveted crystal apple for their team should they win the competition. You do not need to be a healthcare worker to be a team captain or donate.
Quick Notes and Logistics
-The 2025 contest will begin on Thursday, November 27th at 6:00 p.m. EST and end on Tuesday, December 2nd at 11:59 p.m. EST. Only donations that are logged within this window count towards the competition.
-Remind donors to attach a copy of their receipt when logging their donation on behalf of your team. The Healthcare Workers vs Hunger team may contact any donors who do not submit receipts.
-Donations should ideally be submitted by the donor, since we use email address to count unique donors.
-Direct donors to the hcwvshunger.org site or hcwvshunger@gmail.com for more info or clarification on rules.
-The leaderboard is automatically updated approximately at the top of each hour, and successful donation logs will result in a confirmation email sent to the donor email address.
